I began with Equine Assisted Therapy as a volunteer with the very first session and just loved it. I had been involved in another horse therapy program many years before and was excited to see this new horse therapy opening up close to home. As I continued to become involved I was so impressed with Ginni and her abundant energy for the program I couldn't help but become more excited about it. I got my husband and daughter involved as well. I felt driven to become an instructor. My husband thought it was a great idea and the rest is history. I have worked in the Special Education field for about 20yrs. and thought this was perfect. The therapy combined my love of children with my love of animals. I look forward to working with the riders and really miss coming to the ranch when we are on a break. It is so rewarding at the end of a class to see the riders smiling and excited about riding and beaming when they have accomplished a new movement or participated in the activities. So, for purely selfish reasons of feeling sooooo good when I go home after a class, it keeps me coming back for more.
