My husband and I built our dream retirement home 3 years ago in Ste. Genevieve on a 160-acre farm. Although we both work full time now, we enjoy the country life and sharing it with our grand kids. My love for horses started at a very early age and I currently own 5 horses and 2 dogs. It has always been a dream of mine for many years to combine the love I have for working with people with the love I have for horses. Volunteering with the EAT Program has offered me this fantastic opportunity. I love every one of the riders within the program and working with them makes my life complete. Both the volunteers and the instructors are the greatest people in the world. You could not ask for a better group of dedicated individuals who truly care. I had volunteered with the EAT program for the past 2 years and just recently decided to take my involvement one step further by becoming a Certified Registered Instructor. The most important aspect of my job as an instructor is to provide each of my riders with a safe and enjoyable learning experience. It is my job to look at the capability of the rider and bring out the very best in each one of them. Working with EAT has been the most rewarding experience I have encountered. I am at a time in my life where my children are grown and I can now dedicate myself to a program I wholeheartedly support.
