I’m Danielle, most often called Dee. I grew up on a small farm in
southern Missouri and learned how to ride at eight. When I was
twelve years old, I read an article about equine therapy and tucked
it away in my mind as a dream job I would love to have one day.
Marriage, motherhood x 2, moving across the country x 2 and
finally settling in a suburb seemed to reduce it from a dream job to
simply a dream. When my husband brought home a copy of a
bulletin he found at work about EAT, I couldn't stop smiling. I
started volunteering at the end of March ’05 and was pursuing
certification by the beginning of May. My dream of becoming an
instructor came true in May 2006 with my certification through
NARHA. I’m excited to be working with my two favorite things in
life – horses and children and can’t wait to make a difference in the
lives of our students and their families!
