Hi, my name is Lori Rood. I have been involved with EAT since the Spring of 2005. I learned about the program through a family friend, and being an avid horse lover, the program quickly sparked my interest. I have been a horse lover for my whole life, and I also love working with children, so it was a perfect fit. As I became more involved with the program, and discovered what a great group of participants and volunteers I was working with, I couldn’t help but get more involved which led me to become an instructor. Sharing my passion for horses with the participants is the most rewarding experience I could ever imagine.
I have a wonderful husband and two great kids (Dustin 11 and Callie 9) who love to be around the horses and are very supportive of my time with the program.
I feel so lucky to be part of such a great program. There is nothing better than seeing the sparkle in a rider’s eyes, or the smile of accomplishment followed by a big hug around the horses neck. I look forward to making many more special memories with all of our riders, our generous volunteers and these wonderful animals that make it all possible.
